Kansas is a state in the
Great Plains region of the United States of America. It is generally
considered the center of the country, at least in geographical terms. Kansas
is named after the Kansas River which flows through it, from the French "Cansez",
by explorer Étienne de Veniard, Sieur de Bourgmont, and after the Kansa
