Cincinnati is host to a myriad of different schools, public, private, and parochial. Many people attend single sex, private, Catholic high schools, as well as Catholic grade schools.

Colleges & Universities
 • University of Cincinnati. UC is a public university located in the Clifton Heights/University Heights/Fairview neighborhood of Cincinnati, bordering Corryville, Clifton, and Walnut Hills.
 • Xavier University. Xavier is a private Catholic college located in the neighborhood of Evanston.
 • College of Mt. St. Joseph on the Ohio,  . Private Catholic college located in Cincinnati's western suburb of Delhi. Known for its Education majors.
 • Miami University. Located about an hour north of Downtown, Miami University is located in the college town of Oxford, Ohio.
 • Cincinnati State Technical and Community College. Cincinnati State is the technical and community college of choice in the region, nationally recognized for academic excellence and workforce development. It is located at the confluence of I-75 and I-74, at the intersection of Central Parkway and Ludlow Avenue.

High Schools, private and parochial
 • Summit Country Day School- Upper School,  . Located in the affluent and prestigious neighborhood of Hyde Park, on Grandin Road, The Summit is the only private co-ed, Catholic high school in the Cincinnati city limits.
 • St. Xavier High School,  . Private, all male, Catholic high school located just outside Cincinnati city limits in the suburb of Springfield Township (close to Finneytown) on West North Bend Road.
 • St. Ursula Academy,  . Private, all female, Catholic high school located in the diverse, but prestigious Cincinnati neighborhood of East Walnut Hills on East McMillan Street; "St. Ursula Academy is a college-preparatory high school for young women which offers an intensive four-year program in the fields of English, mathematics, science, social studies, French, Spanish, Latin, and religion."
 • Ursuline Academy,  . Private, all female, Catholic high school located in the suburb of Blue Ash on Pfieffer Road.
 • Cincinnati Country Day School. Private co-ed, non religious based high school located in the prestigious suburb of Indian Hill.
 • Mother of Mercy High School. Located in Westwood at Werk Road and Boudinot Avenue, Mother of Mercy is an all female, parochial Catholic high school in western Cincinnati.
 • Moeller High School, near Montgomery, all male, parochial. A longtime national power in football, and home of one of the top high school basketball arenas in the country.
 • Seton High School, Price Hill, all female, parochial.
 • Elder High School, Price Hill, all male, parochial.
 • Purcell-Marian High School, East Walnut Hills, co-ed, parochial.
 • LaSalle High School, West North Bend Road, White Oak, all male, parochial.
