Terre Haute is a city in the Midwestern United States, with a population of nearly 60,000. It is the county seat of Vigo County, located in west-central Indiana state, about 4 hours (300 km) south of Chicago, Illinois and 1 hour southwest of Indianapolis, Indiana.
