Historic Attractions

 • Joseph Priestly House Located minutes outside Selinsgrove in Northumberland, PA, the Joseph Priestly House is believed to be the first to be the first scientific laboratory in the United States. Open Wednesday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, noon to 5 p.m. The last tour of the house begins at 4 p.m. The Joseph Priestly House is closed on Mondays, Tuesdays, and certain holidays. Admission is $4 for adults and $2 for children.
 • Governor Snyder Mansion The former home of Pennsylvania Governor Snyder, for whom Snyder County is named, is located in downtown Selinsgrove. All rooms in the mansion are open to the public and contain historic prints, screens, and artwork featuring Selinsgrove and the late Governor as their subjects.

Art and Museums

 • Lore Degenstein Gallery Located at Selinsgrove's Susquehanna University, the Degenstein Gallery is a museum of material culture past and present.

Theatre and Performances

 • Degenstein Center Theater Located at Susquehanna university, the Degenstein Center Theater hosts numerous A-list music acts throughout the year as well as theater performances put on by university students.
 • Susquehanna University Artist Series The artist series brings smaller acts from around the world to perform musically, theatrically, in dance, and in ethnic ritual.
